Rori and I got home from doing errands today and she didn’t to take off her Princess Aurora hat.

A sign that someone’s going hunting….

Driving home from work today I noticed something.  Orange.  Bright vibrant orange.  And camouflage.  Yep, it must be time to go hunting.  What else would it mean to see people hanging out their jackets in the Minnesota cold and wet.  I counted 5 different houses.  Must  be a party…glad I wasn’t invited, can’t imagine having any fun sitting in the woods in the cold and not even able to talk…. I couldn’t do it.

Steve turns 60!

We celebrated into the wee hours that Steve is turning 60 on November 3rd.  Amanda gave us numerous jello shots.  Had a great time!

Halloween

I love this night.  I get goodie bags together for all the little ones in my life and I love watching everyone all dressed up and having fun.  Here’s some photos from that night.

Pre Halloween

That time of year again.  Dad passed 5 years ago tomorrow.  This year has been more of a struggle compared to others.  Tonight Katie asked AJ to come over to carve Aurora’s pumpkin.  I went along to keep my mind off things and it helped.  How can’t you feel good with Aurora & Lilly running around.  Lilly is AJ’s Goddaughter and Aurora’s cousin.  Even though AJ & Katie aren’t together as a couple anymore, they are doing a great job co-parenting and being there for Rori.  We’ve missed being around the Overland’s.  It’s a hard relationship to find the boundries to.  I’m just focusing on the fact that all of us are getting along right now and enjoying each other’s company.  I took tons of photos, and you’ll see that AJ is doing a good job taking Armin’s place as the pumpkin carver of the family.
