Are they feeding cows gold these days???
SHIT!
Went to the store to buy milk.
$3.22 a gallon!—
For 1 %—-
Walmart brand!
I came home asked Jeri what was up with that. He said that so much corn is being used for ethanol that it shot the price of corn through the roof. And that’s what is feed to cows. Cows give us milk.
Damn.
We’ll have to use powdered milk at this rate.
So we sat to have this discussion about gas—fuel—cars—the future. I had a thought.
Windmills have come back into popularity again but without Don Quixote. Our now modern version of this power source looks a tad different than those in La Mancha. But I digress. That’s not what this post is about. I just wanted you to know that something did sink in my head during high school, although not something that makes a difference in the world, or does it?
My question to my husband was:
How come someone genius can’t come up with a device that stores energy in a car.
** I know, I know, the car battery**
But we need a ‘battery’ that stores the energy created by a windmill. Each car can have a mini windmill attached to the top of the car. While you drive, the windmill, mills… and gives energy to the car to drive. When parked it continues to make energy as the windmill once again, mills. It stores it for those times when stopped at a light or such instances when the mill isn’t milling hence keeping the car running. No more corn, no more gas, free energy, as the wind is still free.
Sounds easy enough for me. Now you engineers out there… start building, and remember me when the royalties come in.
I’m not greedy, but a small percentage to me would help pay for…
my kids’ college …
a summer and winter home….
OH…
and a plane,
a private plane.
And a Hummer…
purple.
Ding! Ding! okay, I’m back…
But can you also maybe name the device after me.
Thanks~
