Ahhhh HA!

So, as most know, Sanjaya didn’t get kicked off of American Idol last night. Brandon did. I figured Brandon would be next week, so I’m not broken hearted.

Ever since the top 24 show, I’ve wondered what has been keeping Sanjaya in the competition. Sure, he’s pretty, but his singing makes my dogs howl, and not in a good way. So what’s the deal? Even the judges look puzzled, or is it annoyed? Well, low and behold there is an answer. Actually there are two. No, his family has not made a deal with the devil. Oh wait a minute, maybe they did. It seems as though Howard Stern, not Anna Nicole’s attorney, but the goofy looking talk radio dude, is endorsing Sanjaya. Are his ratings slipping? What, no more adult movie stars to interview? No one else wants to participate in farting contests? Instead, he is telling his listeners to vote for this tone deaf singer. Not only that, there is a web site strictly for the purpose of encouraging people to vote for the worst singer. It appears the site was started out of frustration of all the good singers passed up during the audition phase of the competition. They spew about AI and Fox passing along the bad, ridicules singers for the entertainment of the American people. While those with actual talent are turned away. It has now progressed to a somewhat anti-AI site. It’s posts are mostly of talking of Sanjaya and wanting people to vote for him, even adding the voting number for all those that don’t watch the show. I wonder if the voting system needs some improvement. Maybe a limit on how many times you can call in. Though not sure what that will do. Those who call for the joy of screwing up the whole competition aren’t going to stop. It’s too bad really. Simon says he will not return next season if Sanjaya wins. With past contestants now succeeding in the industry, it is a shame that this could potentially hurt someone else future.

So now we finally know why Sanjaya keeps lingering around, creeping me out a little. That smile, he’s weird. But I guess we won’t soon forget him. And that…… is the poop on that!
